Collins Wu, Regional Vice President, Power & Discrete Marketing APeC Region, STMicroelectronics
Collins WU (吴卫东) is the Regional Vice President of Power & Discrete Marketing in the APEC Region. WU joined STMicroelectronics in 2000 as Product Marketing manager responsible for Discrete and Analog products in China. He drives demand creation activities aligned with ST’s product portfolio and company strategy in various segments including industrial, consumer, automotive, and more. In 2010, WU led the MEMs actuator, sensor and high-performance custom analog product marketing and application team in Greater China and South Asia. This experienced team has produced many success stories, demonstrating ST's leadership in MEMs in the market with a high level of technical expertise, and has built strong partnerships with many customers and partners. In 2019, WU was appointed as Regional Vice President of Distribution Sales in Asia Pacific. He oversaw several Asia-based distributors including the company’s No.1 distributor. Under his leadership the team managed to grow the business through strong partnership with distributors. In 2024, WU was appointed as Regional Vice President of Power & Discrete Marketing in the APEC region. He is responsible for power transistors, discrete and filter, and low voltage MOSFET. He leads the team in driving business growth through focused product and market strategies, building a strong design funnel, and providing application and technical support to meet customer needs. Collins WU received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1997.
Alex Lidow, CEO & Co-founder of Efficient Power Conversion
Dr. Alex Lidow joined International Rectifier as an R&D engineer and is the co-inventor of the HEXFET power MOSFET, a power transistor that displaced the bipolar transistor and launched modern power conversion. Over the 30 years Dr. Lidow was at IRF, his responsibilities grew from engineer to head of R&D, head of manufacturing, head of sales and marketing, and finally CEO for 12 years. In addition to holding many power MOSFET and GaN FET patents, Dr. Lidow has authored numerous publications; most recently he co-authored the first textbook on GaN transistors, GaN Transistors for Efficient Power Conversion. In 2004, he was elected to the Engineering Hall of Fame, and in 2005, under his leadership, International Rectifier was named one of the best managed companies in America by Forbes magazine. Dr. Lidow earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics from the California Institute of Technology and a doctorate in Applied Physics from Stanford University. Since 1998, he has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the California Institute of Technology.
Bosheng Sun, Systems engineer, TI
Bosheng Sun is a systems engineer and Senor Member Technical Staff at Texas Instruments, focus on developing digital controlled high performance AC/DC solutions for server and industry application. Bosheng received the M.S. degree from Cleveland State University, Ohio, USA in 2003, the B.S degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China in 1995, both in Electrical Engineering. He holds 5 US patents, has published 30+ technical papers.
Dr. Mrinal K. Das, Senior Director of Technical Marketing, onsemi
Dr. Mrinal K. Das is the Senior Director of Technical Marketing at onsemi’s Power Solutions Group. His primary responsibility is the alignment of onsemi’s semiconductor technologies with the needs of the power conversion market. He has been at the leading edge of SiC technology for the past three decades beginning with his graduate studies on SiC MOSFETs at Purdue University followed by industry roles in technology and business at Cree/Wolfspeed, Texas Instruments, and Sanan IC previously. He completed B.S.E.E. and B.A. degrees with Honors from The University of Texas at Austin. He also completed M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. degrees from Purdue University. Dr. Das is a Senior Member of the IEEE and the inventor of over 40 registered patents.
Dr. Kwok Wai Ma, Senior Principal Engineer, Industrial and Consumer Power, Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific
Kwok Wai Ma graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, with Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering and Ph.D. in Power Electronics, in 1988 and 1995 respectively. He joined Infineon Technologies in 2005 and is currently Senior Principal Engineer, leading all system application engineering activities in Asia Pacific region for Industrial and Consumer Power applications, from product application, application development, technology launch and application innovation, in wide range of appliance, industrial and infrastructure applications. Since 2014 he has led the technology launch activities of SiC power device in Asia.
Sasikala Thangam, Applications Engineer, TI
Sasikala Thangam is an Applications Engineer in the High Power Drivers (HPD) team at Texas Instruments, supporting smart isolated gate drivers for traction inverter applications. She is elected as MGTS on the prestigious TI Tech Ladder. She is Isolated Gate Drivers expert with 5+ years experience and overall 20+ years of industry experience with a B.S in EE. She served as IEEE APEC conference Industry Session Chair for Gate drivers session. She has authored and presented in multiple technical conferences in TI and have co-authored, presented in gate driver industry sessions in APEC 2023, 2024.
Simon Keeton, Group President, Power Solutions Group, onsemi
Simon Keeton joined onsemi in 2007 and currently serves as group president for the Power Solutions Group of onsemi and Semiconductor Components Industries, LLC. During his career, Simon has held various management positions within the Company. Before his promotion to his current role on February 26, 2024, Simon served as executive vice president and general manager for the Power Solutions Group. Prior to his most recent role, Simon was senior vice president and general manager of the MOSFET division. From 2012 to 2016, he served as vice president and general manager of the Integrated Circuit Division under our former Standard Products Group. Prior to that time, he served as vice president and general manager of the Consumer Products Division from 2009 to 2012 and as business unit director of our Signals and Interface Business Unit from 2007 to 2009. Before joining the Company, Simon served as strategic planning manager of the Digital Enterprise Group at Intel and held various marketing and business management roles at Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation. Simon earned a bachelor of science degree in computer engineering, a master of science degree in electrical engineering from Michigan State University, and a master of business administration from Pepperdine University – in addition to completing an executive business programs from Harvard Business School.
Michael (Hyung Mook) Choi, Vice president of Power business, UTAC Group
Hyungmook Choi is a seasoned professional in the semiconductor industry with over 20 years of experience in the power semiconductor supply chain. He is a highly accomplished individual who has made significant contributions to the industry through his expertise in power supply design and semiconductor application. He is a sought-after speaker and has delivered keynote speeches and presentations at various conferences and events across the world. Mr. Choi obtained his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering degrees from Seoul National University in Korea in 1992 and 1994, respectively.
Deric Waters, Systems Engineer (DMTS), TI
Deric Waters is a is Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Texas Instruments supporting USB-PD controller development with the power interface product group as a system engineer. Deric also supports the USB Power Delivery specification group as a voting member and serves as the physical layer (PHY) sub-group chair. Deric earned his Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2005.
Nicholas Le Bas, Oscilloscope Product Manager and Application Engineer, Rohde & Schwarz
Nicholas joined Rohde & Schwarz in 2022, specializing in oscilloscopes as a product manager and application engineer where he uses his knowledge of test and measurement to support engineers across UK, Ireland and Benelux. Jason Khor, Senior Manager, Engineering, Arrow Electronics
Jason Khor is senior manager of Engineering at Arrow Electronics. He is responsible for leading the engineering team in the South Asia region, covering Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Jason joined Arrow in 2016. He has more than 25 years of experience in electronics R&D, engineering, and semiconductor distribution business. Jason started fabricating his own electronic boards, soldered and assembled components on hand drawn, etched PCBs as a teenager. He now works daily with innovators and creators in bringing next-generation products to life.
